1 Cup Sugar
2 Cups Water
1 Cup Graceland dried Tart Cherries
1 Can (6oz.) Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate, Undiluted
2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
2 Qts. Lemon-lime Carbonated Beverage, Chilled
In a 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Reduce heat; simmer 3 minutes. Remove from heat. In food processor bowl or electric blender container, combine cherries, orange juice and lemon juice. Blend about 1 minute, or until cherries are pureed. In a 6-cup freezer container, combine cherry mixture and sugar mixture; mix well. Cover tightly; freeze 5 hours or overnight. Remove cherry mixture from freezer 30 minutes before serving. To serve in a punch bowl, put slush in bowl and add carbonated beverage. For individual servings, put ¼ cup slush and ½ cup carbonated beverage in individual glasses.
YIELD: 16 (¾-cup) SERVINGS
1 Very ripe banana, peeled
½ Cup Graceland dried tart cherries
1 ½ Cups Skim milk
Put banana, cherries and milk in an electric blender; puree until smooth.
2 Cups Cherry juice blend
1 Cup Graceland dried cherries
6 oz. Frozen pink lemonade concentrate, undiluted
6 - 8 Ice cubes
12 oz. Lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled
Orange slices and maraschino cherries for garnish
In electric blender container, combine cherry juice and dried cherries; puree until smooth. Add lemonade concentrate and ice cubes; blend until smooth. Pour mixture into 2-quart pitcher. Stir in lemon-lime carbonated beverage. Garnish with orange slices and maraschino cherries. Serve immediately.
